Welcome to my website. My name is Sjoerd-Jeroen Moenandar, and I am a senior lecturer at the University of Groningen. Before that, I worked at a number of universities in the Netherlands and Tunisia.
I
hold a PhD in Cultural Studies (University of Groningen), an MA in
Comparative Literature/Research and Education (Cum Laude, University of
Groningen) and BAs in Comparative Art Studies and Scaninavian Languages
and Cultures/Swedish (Lund University and University of Groningen).
I teach courses on the uses of narrative in different contexts, ranging from classroom interactions, via the arts and media, to cultural heritage. I also do research on this topic.
For more information about me and my work, you can click on "About" in the left hand menu.
If you are more interested in my personal life, you could have a look at a blog I kept between 2014 and 2023 about having breakfast at the beach with my daughter and son.
This website is not updated regularly and mostly contains information about my past work and projects. For more up to date information, see my staff page at the University of Groningen.
